With regular excercise, 2000 calories a day or between 44-67 grams of fat per day. If you don't exercise you should probably drop to 1700 calories a day or between 39-60 grams of fat. I know this because I looked it up yesterday, and have counted fat grams in the past. It worked for a couple of years until I recently fell of the wagon. Hope that helps, good luck!

I think 2000 calories will maintain a weight but not help you lose weight. Most diets I have seen are based around consuming between 1000 and 1500 calories a day. To be healthy,I'd stick with the upper limit of those guides otherwise you'll just pile the weight back on as soon as you begin to eat normally again.Good luck!!

I eat 2000-3000 to maintain my weight but I jog daily.
To lose weight, I only consume 1500 daily to lose about 3 pounds per week. If I go 1000, that is to low with daily exercise and I end up losing 1-2 pounds a day which is too quick. With jogging, you lose your appetite, so I have to make myself eat more: fruit, vegetables, protein/meat, and dairy which are all good for you. I guess I lose my appetite because I drink so much water/liquids to replace the water loss when I exercise which has been 4-5 pounds after jogging outside in the heat.
Take care of yourself !

Go to Google and do a search to find out how many calories per day you should be eating if you want to be at your ideal weight. If you take in a few more calories than that, it's okay as long as you exercise.

You will need to eat about 1200-1500 calories a day to loose weight. 2000 maintains weight at an assumed level of regular activity.
I recommend cutting out carbs far a quick fix, but in order to loose long term weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle, I would eat around 1400 calories and cut out bad carbs such as sugar and bread. Eat lots of fruit and veg, and make sure you get protein and you should have 20lbs off in around 10 weeks! :)

To find the perfect amount of calories to eat a day you take your weight and times it by ten, then add 350.... say you are 130 pounds... times it by 10= 1300...+350=1450... so you are only supposed to eat 2000 calories if you are around 165... if you are more than 165... you should eat more than 2000

Check out this website.

Go to the bottom right and do the "start weight lose today" section. I did it this morning and found that I'm eating 700 calories too much daily.
Good Luck!

1500 is a great start. 2000 will be a little slow. I would not go under 1000 because this can damage your organs.
Tip: V8 Juice is a Great Way to get all the veg. But do not drink it all the time for your veg. intake. You need fresh veg. also.

Yes. Try to eat healthy though. I'm doing the same thing and I noticed that b/c I'm eating less, I fatigue more quickly. Get some fruits and veggies, some multivitamins, and plenty of sleep. Good luck.
