sometimes that pop up comes even if ur windows is genuin...
so see if u can download updates and if u can download any windows software then its genuin..
but other wise google it, trust me its all over the place..
my old windows wasnt genuin, then i got a patch to make it genuin for free.

Microsoft are onto you. You can carry on using your XP but you will ALWAYS have that pop up whenever you boot up and you will not be allowed to download validation-dependent items from microsoft.com

you are indeed going to have to authenticate your copy of XP. Go to windows update on the Internet, and you will be prompted to authenticate your copy. if you pass, all is well and the pop up is gone. If you fail, you will be prompted to purchase a valid license.......good luck!

Call Microsoft, pay up, and they will give you a code to turn genuine, normally they will also sent you a CD afterward
