My daughter had her ears pierced and took them out they have closed. I want to repierce but I am scared because she has a ball inside of the lobe where the ear was pierced. This was a reg. piercing. What is the ball and can I repierce her ear?

It is scar tissue and nothing at all to worry about. All part and parcel of the healing process.

it could be scar tissue or a small fluid filled cyst. i get them all the time and my piercings haven't closed at all. nothing to worry about. it should go away on it's own. sometimes if i sqeeze the earlobe, the fluid will disappear. i don't know about piercing again while the ball is still there. i'd wait till it's gone. no sense risking an infection.

The ball is probably scar tissue. you could probably get it re-pierced, but I would take her to the doctor to get it done (when i was young that's where my mom took me) or to a reputable place that won't screw up the look of her earlobe.

It's scar tissue, likely, unless it is red, or swollen, oozing pus - then maybe you should see a doctor. Yes, you can repierce it.
