I get the distinct impression that God wants me to humble myself. How can I get rid of my selfish desires for fame, fortune, and personal glory?

Interesting. Allot 30% of your time to volunteer with old people. They know a helluva lot more than you do, so it is a humbling experience.

Be thankful for everything in your life even the smallest of things. GOD always listens to a humble heart!

Desire to worship Him alone....and not yourself

I'm still working on it so....you're not alone.

Before I got saved, I wanted fame & fortune as well......it quickly dissappeared once I turned my thoughts to eternity.
I am still stuck in this flesh so.....I do struggle every now and then.

Put jesus 1st in your life. Get on your knees and pray about it. It will happen if you ask.
