You know, if thousands of Americans were in Mexico City chanting and demanding their RIGHTS to dumb down schools, overpopulate prisons and drain social services, create massive gang problems, and don't embrace higher education in lue of popping out babies like rabbits(which they can ill afford to even feed and clothe, never mind educate)...what do you THINK would happen to those protestors??

I am an immigrant who came to America, and busted my @ss, educated myself, and am now living what is known as the American dream(I also was once homeless, while going to school).

So who is it that wants the hand-outs? The free-bee's? The welfare and food stamps for able bodied people, who create children, yet have no responsibility as parents(and I am suppose to buy into this LIE??!!)

Real Americans want ASSETS to come to America, not LIABILITIES, and definately not the nutcases marching in the streets demanding their "rights"!

Your thoughts?

I am wondering what your question is, it sounds more like a rant and the same generalizing about other immigrants done by everyone else here

My thought is that you are EXACTLY the person people need to hear from about illegal immigration. While I may feel like I'm getting boned by Congress on this issue, I can't imagine how it must feel to those of you that went through the process and did it the right way to watch this happen.

We need more Americans like you .
You are the type of immigrants that this country was built on and I for one am proud to call you a American .
Even a lot of US born don't have your attitude and sense of responsibility .
If only we would expect as much from immigrants and quit thinking of them as victims .
You have the true American Spirit !!!
If you give a man a fish , he will eat for a day , but if you teach a man to fish , he will eat forever .

I agree, living in America is a privilege not a right. Most immigrants believe it is their right to live here. I think they should be allowed to immigrate here in a CONTROLLED manner, but not at the numbers that illegally come over every day.

Iam a immigrant too !!
as you said ,me to had to bust my *** to became something that I don't want to be
if being an american means that I had to think as a mass reaction like most american do .
if forget my heart and what I lived in my poor country is ok with you
if forget to see and fell what I saw in my bithplace is ok with you
then ,I don't want to be an American (asimilated ,and digested by the mass)
The only reason I'am here is because my wife is from here.
but I will never turn my back on my blood because at the end of the day that all I am
.
WHAT YOU ARE ? WHAT YOU WANT TO BE ? WHAT YOU ARE NOT?
I think the American dream bought you a reason to be against yourself !!!you sale the patrimony of your blood for the miserable cost of nesesity.

sorry for my poor english ,is just that I STILL think in my mother lenguage!!!!
damn!! how cheap you are!!!

You said it all. I agree with you. I see alot of frustration in your question. I see this more and more. You more than anyone have the right to be frustrated. You did it the hard way, yet the right way. I am glad you are an American.

The only liabilities are those like you that once was homeless and going from food bank to food banks(instead of working)at whatever it took just to not be worst then a freaking dog dogg......
Question should also include how you got out of your depression?
Or you still mad because immigrants that work have it better than you? Sounds to me like you must have lived at some local library during your self taught program.
I bet you were a liability when citizens had to take a crap and you were in the restroom washing up.shaving,or whatever it is that the poor homeless have to go through. How quick one forgets huh?!

So you expect me to feel sorry for you?

You should be proud that you didn't have to go on welfare or any kind of that crap. There's many people who don't have the guts to do what you did...... just in case you didn't know, let me tell you that illegals aren't the only ones on welfare. Why don't you go and tell the blacks, asians, whites and all the rest of the people on welfare that they're not responsible citizens. That they need to get off their a$$ and support their kids.........

Oh, but I forgot that this is the forum where we blame everything on illegals right?

I'm an immigrant myself, who like you, had to work my @SS off to get where I am today. I'm not resentful towards the rest of the people who come here....WHY?.......because I'm not a greedy little biatch who doesn't want anyone else to come here and realize the american dream.

Oh, and by the way I'm not a nutcase ------ You know why they want an immigration reform? Because most of these people want to get the opportunity to prove to us that they're here to succeed. I'm sorry that your can't get your head out of your *** and understand that they're not here to take anything from you. You really think they could take a job from an educated person? NO......
