It's normal to still have some potty training issues at 4 and some parents still allow preschoolers to sleep with them. However, if these issues aren't resolved within the next year (before he goes to school), then there may be a problem. I'm guessing you slept with your parents too and maybe you just don't remember it. Have you thought about asking your parents about this?

It's perfectly normal, my son is not potty trained yet, and he will be 4 in July. My son doesn't sleep with me anymore, but that's because I started putting him in his own bed at 3 months, so he is used to it. I slept with my parents until I was 7 though, and I turned out completely normal.

The pooping in pants is pretty common, but he should be out of mom and dads bed and into his own by now.

I dont have a son, yet, but I know that boys are a little slower to catch on to the potty thing. Sleeping with your mom and dad is not his fault though... If they alow it, he is going to do it young children are thrive off of attention, positive and negative both.

It is time for him to become a "big boy". It sounds like your parents are not being firm parents. Or want to keep him a baby. Do they still talk baby talk to him, also?
It sounds like you are being the parent and they are shirking their duties.
