He is one of the few legitimate scientists who supports intelligent design, by legitimate I mean he is a biology professor at a decent university.and got his PhD in biochemistry from an Ivy League school.

Personally, the answer for me is no.

Well, if he tried to make me believe Darwin was wrong, I would laugh. If he tried to explain to me how mitochondria produces ATP I would pay close attention.
The guy is a biochemist not en evolutionary biologist.

Why would believing in design make you not take a scientist seriously? You'd be surprised how many scientists believe life is a design. In fact MIT is not only known for science, engineering, and technology, but also a large population of believers in God. It has at least 22 different Christian groups alone, let alone the other religious groups.

Have you ever seriously thought about life being a design and what that would mean? Without being influenced by the clout of some zealot creationists?

I'd have to ask the question, "Does the evidence support what he is saying?" So far, he's done nothing in biology. In engineering, he's shown that the design for the spring type mousetrap has a minimum number of parts.

hmm....i guess i would be skeptical of anything he said, which would really make the class difficult

He believes the truth...and that's a good thing

I wouldn't want to be taught lies by some liberal evolutionist
