First of all, All Americans do not think alike. Shame on you for that generalization. Free means: freedom of speech and freedom of religion w/o persecution. I am paraphrasing these terms loosely. Not all scenarios are going to be alike. Why don't you and any one not from America (that thinks like you). . .stop concerning yourself with Americans and worry about your own problems. .. We all (world wide) have to have rules and regulations for people that don't know how to act and the children that they have. . . so that it becomes a kind of controlled chaos. Have you ever heard of "Sweep around you own front door"?

There is so much more I could say here. . .but I've got to get back to work. !!!

That all feels good to say but you will find as you get older that these things are hardly related to each other. You can JOIN the military, you are no longer forced to serve. Its not related to buying beer. I would think that if there was any chance of relating the war in Iraq to Bush making money it would be more than just some crack that people make. The news would be all over it and Dems would be having public hearings to try to convince people from voting for Bush. For now, its an election year, and whatever party is not in power makes up slogans for you to repeat like that. This country is not a monarchy, Bush is not King. Education is a state and local issue not related (except for some funding) to the Federal government. Bush does not control your school, your school board, county and state government do and they set funding levels and goals, not Dick Cheney. Health care is a complicated issue that will never be solved by slogans and chants. Hillary was going to fix it when she was First Lady, had her husband as the President and had a Democratic Congress and she backed off of Federal intervention. You have Congressmen and Senators in your state you can reach and express your concerns and if enough do it will change. Congress can change it but have not, Repubs or Dems. What you say is just easy talk, based on nothing much and its the kind of thing that old retired guys sitting on park benches say because they don't understand anything anymore. You sound young so you can do better and you can make change but not by moaning and bitching. So if you want to be able to buy booze I guess don't join the Army. Sounds bad that way doesn't it? Now, you will have people who will chant and repeat slogans and slurs who will agree with you and you will feel better now. Except that you haven't accomplished anything. Next year we will have a Dem President and you can say the same things becaue they will just as untrue and unrelated as they are now. Except that we will still have the problems and not the solutions.

Laws concerning age limits on buying alcohol are set at the state level, not the federal level. Recall that there were certain states (I want to say that Idaho was one) that had a 18 year old drinking age up until the last 10 years or so.

Of course, the federal government pretty much twisted the states arms by cutting off federal highway dollars to states that didn't make their drinking ages 21, but ULTIMATELY it was the state's choices, not the feds.

My opinion is that a government issued ACTIVE DUTY military ID card should be sufficient for any individual 18 years and older to buy alcohol. I do not believe that EVERY 18 year old should be able to buy alcohol, just those honorable enough to serve their country in a military capacity.

You need to read The U.S. Constitution. Know where are any of the things you mentioned , mentioned. We are the land of the free because you can say what you said above without any problems. Try saying your views in Cuba, South America or the Middle East and see what happens. People from all around the world come here because nowhere else is there as much opportunity for success and freedom.

Google's website did not even submit one among its in call for "trip google" graphs for the anniversary until a quick whilst in the past with the aid of maximum of lawsuits for ignoring the anniversary. BTW, the assumption of a faked moon landing is almost as feasible as 9/11 conpsiracy theories that's as feasible as hillary clinton have skinny ankles.

Why are you asking a question when you have obviously already made up your mind that you are a USA hater?

Try moving to another country. Believe me you would be begging to come back here.

Did you know that in many countries in Europe with 'universal health care', after you reach the age of 55 you have to buy your own health insurance, as you are deemed too old?

The USA was the FIRST country to create a government that answers to its people, rather than the other way around.

I think Rosie, Hillary, and John Edwards should all pitch in and buy their own country. You could then join them!!!

I agree. Its so annoying to hear my brother say "I can do what i want, its a free country." In other words, he's saying I can't make him do anything because he lives in the land of the free. I disagree with that notion. USA is FREER than most, but there are still laws, there is still unequal opportunity, etc. Everything is about the money, even in this country. In court, if a person has a sufficient supply of money, they could either bribe their way out of punishment, or make bail. That is so annoying! That's why celebrities are treated differently, they have the money, so even if the court sees fit to punish them for a crime they committed, the celeb could easily influence their way out, through money, through connections, etc. Thus, they never learn their lesson, and they'll do it again. The one with the money holds the power, even in the US. We don't have the perfect system here, and I doubt we ever will.

I don't usually respond to rhetoric such is this, however, to dispel your misinformation I want you to know that people 18 to 21 had the privilege to drink and lost it.

It was during the mid 70's when that age to vote was lowered to 18, the state of Michigan lowered the drinking age.

What happened was, there were even younger people breaking the law. Young people, just learning driving skills were involved in more alcohol related accidents.

So, they lost the privilege to drink legally.

This isn't a perfect country because it is resided in by imperfect people, but it is the best there is.

I wrote a long and impassioned response to this foolish question. Then I stopped to think. It is a waste of time and effort to educate you liberal fools.

If you do not like the United States, and if you think the United States is not "Free," feel FREE to emigrate to one of the Democratic Peoples Republics.

I'm sure the Peoples Democratic Republic of North Korea would welcome you with open arms. You might want to stay away from the Peoples Republic of China though, they are rapidly converting to a capitalist version of Communism.

think about it, this is a country FULL of immigrants, there are pretty good reasons why people are dying to live here, and plenty of us have healthy care, i don't think healthcare should be free because there is no such thing as free healthcare thats why all the europeans are taxed up there butts because they are paying for healthcare its just not that obvious, i have great heathcare, my dad is a retired NYC firefighter so i had great healthcare growing up, and his father was an NYC bus driver so they were good to, people have to prepare themselves and pick careers where healthcare is good, doctors and nurses don't work for free and shouldn't be expect to, back to America, we have everything at our fingertips here, we can live anywhere, buy anything, we have free religion, speech, freedom press, as long as your willing to work for it this country is full of endless possibilities, as a citizen i know this from experiencing it and making it my dream, i love America!!
