I notice that the newer people tend to be a bit more aggressive in their ... dislike of us. They seem to ask more questions directed to us or about us than they do anything else.

Well, I didn't notice that until you brought it up. They talk down to what they think is a stereotype of Atheists, and kinda waste everyone's time with general, simple questions that has been answered than enough.

You're not paranoid. You're just observing reality. The key to being a happy atheist is to develop a very thick skin and the ability to laugh off insults. People won't have fun acting that way that if you don't get upset.

It's not just you. I attribute it to cloning trolls or newbie christians thinking they are being witty by saying something that has already been said.

Either way, i've noticed it as well.

I would be willing to bet that this holds true in any category that depends on a certain belief system...if you don't believe/accept that system, people don't want to deal with you.

Yes, but don't you love it? Once a "Christian" takes a shot across your bow, you don't have to be nice. You can point out how silly or mean spirited they look to everyone.

It's not just new people. Atheists are the most despised minority in America. Trust me, I get to hear it every day.
