R = (L/2)/sin(θ/2)
θ = 5° 6'
θ/2 = 2° 33'
I used to have 5-place trig tables graduated in minutes, so sin(2° 33') would look up as 0.04449, so
R = L/0.08898
or
R = 11.238*L
