Why are so many Wiccans on this board High Priests?

when something is imaginary you can be whatever you want to be and do whatever you want to do.

High Priest/ess doesn't mean the same thing as it does in mainstream religions. High Priest/ess ARE followers... they are also teachers, guidance counselors, etc. Most Wiccan groups are set apart in covens - small groups normally with a High Priest and a High Priestess which symbolized the God and Goddess (normally... there are different groups). Each coven answers only to itself... there isn't a higher "court" to go to, so even with a small group, you need someone to stand as the leader which directs the rest of the group, usually on ritual matters, etc.

I haven't seen many high priests on here. I've seen quite a few eclectic Wiccans. They don't go for the traditional priesthood.

This IS answers. Perhaps what you're seeing is those who are experts trying to educate others.. that's what we're supposed to be doing.

i can read a page from a wiccan book and tell u i'm a high priest, and u can't prove me wrong.
eg: I'll do a spell for money, and maybe in a week someone close to me dies, or maybe a month, or a couple of years time, - did my spell work?
To me yes, to any normal person no, it was coming anyway.

Part of the reason I am solitary is the whole High Priest\Priestess thing. I don't do titles anyway. Being a High Priest doesn't mean anything in the big scheme of things. You can have the same understanding of the craft without that.

I'm not a High Priest/ess. I'm Pagan not Wiccan but there are lots of us on the board that aren't Priest/esses.
