Why does it burn and turn to ashes just as quickly as the wood in my fireplace? I've conducted this experiment 12 times last winter, and I have yet to find a bible that lasts eternally under these conditions. Doesn't that prove that the word really isn't eternal, it just has too many copies in circulation?

The words that are written on the pages can burn. But when you read them: The Bible says keep the words in your heart. That can never go away. Even when you die, those same words you read will stay with you for eternity weather you go to Heaven or hell.
And many people in the world know the word of God. So if you burn every Bible in the world, The word of God will stand. Just like you already read or been told that the word of God is eternal and unchanging, That passage will stay with you for life you can't burn that out of your heart.

The Bible contains the Word of God which is eternal and unchanging. You can burn the container but the Word still remains eternal and unchanging in the hearts and minds of His people!

According to the intellectual George Bush, god is not a flip flopper. Definition of a flip flopper. Someone able to reexamine the evidence and change. Since even with the bible no christian really understands anything about their god, they certainly cannot reexamine it and change.

Hey, the weather's too warm for the fireplace now, but I'll let you know how it works for a starter for my barbecue.

your burning a physical "thing". not the words or the teachings. a book is a tool. its like saying "if i burn the dictionary , the english language will disapear and nobody will be able to communicate". you seem to have some unresolved issues.

Did you read any of the words?

Do you remember them?

They are now ETERNALLY etched in your mind.

So your experiment proved the statement!

Such a waste of paper, you should have used them as paperweight, or to step on them to be taller, or to make fire for a bbq or to make a bull of papier-mache and worship it or find some other use for them.

I promise that someday you will be in so much trouble and you will pray to God!!!
just remember that!
one other thing i also promise that one day you would kneel down on your knees and confess with your tongue that Jesus Christ is Lord to God's praise.(and you will regret burning Bibles)
Do it now and dont go to hell please!!!!!
