Do you feel? sad? happy? mad? joyful? then you have a soul. The human body, or animal body, is just a shell. Its like clothes...covering the skin..and the skin is just the outter body...we as people are souls...animals as well... Dogs feel, as do cats, and horses... I don't necessarily believe everything has a soul..but who are we to even say that.. I don't think bugs have souls... but then again, this magnificent world and everything it in was made by a greater holy power so as much as we all feel we know about things, this earth, life... theres really so much we don't know. I think living things with souls, have depth to them...they feel, think, have hope in something greater...

In order to determine who does and does not have a soul I would need to know the exact defintion of a soul but this is impossible becauses a 'soul' means something different to everyone. I, for one, am an Atheist who does believe than humans have souls although I may not fully understand them.

man and animals are living souls..
1 Cor. 15:45: “It is even so written: ‘The first man Adam became a living soul.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” (So the Christian Greek Scriptures agree with the Hebrew Scriptures as to what the soul is.) (The Greek word here translated “soul” is the accusative case of psy‧khe′. KJ, AS, Dy, JB, NAB, and Kx also read “soul.” RS, NE, and TEV say “being.”)
Gen. 1:20, 21, 24, 25: “God went on to say: ‘Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls* . . . ’ And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind. . . . And God went on to say: ‘Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds . . . ’ And God proceeded to make the wild beast of the earth according to its kind and the domestic animal according to its kind and every moving animal of the ground according to its kind.” (*In Hebrew the word here is ne′phesh. Ro reads “soul.” Some translations use the rendering “creature[s].”)

You have will, mind and emotions. Therefore you have a soul. Animals have souls because they also have will, mind and emotions. Only humans have spirit because God breathed spirit into man when He created Adam.

Anything alive with blood has a soul. Without a soul, you would not be alive.
