the chair is probably not designed to improve your posture while working on the computer. You can get back supports that will keep your back in the correct position while you work. Most chiropractors keep these in stock. The biggest problem people have nowadays is coming from computer work. a chiropractor also would be good to help get rid of the pain and teach you what to do throughout the day to stop your problems.

I've enclosed a link which shows desk exercises. These will help give your body a break and improve the muscles. be sure and get up and Walk around for a few minutes every 30 minutes. This will help improve your circulation.

Hide the chair away for a few million years and then bring it out again when nobody recalls what the chair looked like at all...

I understand completely! I'm in the chair all day too.

Do you exercise and do stretches?
Do you drink enough water?

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Do some searches on the web and find out if you suffer the same thing. I sure hope that you don't.

I think that means you should get up! Your muscles are going numb from lack of blood flow. Your neck is probably strained because of looking at the computer screen. If you can't get up, do some deep breathing and rub and stretch your neck. Get the blood flow back.

You need to have a good chair or have it adjusted properly. Also, get up and take breaks more often.
