I'd appreciate any Bible verse suggestions that I could use for the card.

Thanks.

Ps. 34:18: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Ps. 103:13, 14: “As a father shows mercy to his sons, Jehovah has shown mercy to those fearing him. For he himself well knows the formation of us, remembering that we are dust.” Ps. 27:10: “In case my own father and my own mother did leave me, even Jehovah himself would take me up.” Rev. 21:4, 5: “‘[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’ And the One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’”

Psalms 37: 10 - 11

And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be...

But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace...

Revelations 21: 1 - 4

“I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away....Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”

This person Dodie Osteen if you are not familiar with her had liver cancer and was told to go home, she only had 3 weeks to live, but she kept preaching and believing this verses and it helped her pull through. She is living today cancer free. I'm not sure of your friend's situation, but these verses could help along with the story. Dodie has a book on her story, it is very encouraging.

I like the scriptures at Revelation 21:3-5 where it speaks of the day when sickness and death will be no more. Speaking of God's promise to his faithful servants.
