i was thinking about just having my first name inscribed on the back of them, but since my bf bought them for me i was thinking of putting a message that he wants on them . i just want something on them their worth over $2500 each and i have 5 of them, i hate the thought of someone stealing them from me, so to have something on the back would make me less worried. i know they can always change the band but it would most likely be a loser with no money that would steal it so they probably wouldnt be able to afford to change the bands , then at least i might be able to find them again.
sorry about the long details lol i've had them for a few years now but i still worry .

i know they will hock it regardless of if its inscribed or not. but if it is inscribed, they will get a lot less money for it and that just makes me feel better too lol .

Having them inscribed will not deter anyone from stealing them.
I had my grandfathers wedding band and it had his full name on the inside and also his initials on the outside in white gold and someone still stole it and I never got it back.
They will just pluck the stones and melt the gold or hock it all together.
If you are going to inscribe something make it something worth remembering. Something you can pass on to your kids (or whoever).

Having them insured in your best bet- spend the money on insurance instead of inscribing... if someone is desperate- they would still it and melt it down anyway

I heard something on one of those wedding shows on TV about a ring inscription that I ABSOLUTELY loved!
So I am going to steal the idea when I get married and put it in Nick's ring.... The inscription was: "Do Not Remove"
I think it's hilarious..... and I know it's not "lovey dovey" in the traditional sense..... but it fits his and my personalities.

I would think if your bf wanted something inscribed on the rings he would have done it before he gave them to you.
