throw in their two cents when no body asked them to, dont they know that us as christians are not going to be persuaded by their narrow minded beliefs and that they are wasting their time, and ours.

I've discovered that most of the "atheists" here aren't really atheists at all. They have a "god", so to speak, whether it's the Creator of the universe or not, they worship something. Mother Earth, Father Time, Money, Football, Sex, etc, etc....
An Atheist has no god, no religion, and in my view, no idea of what they're missing. But, on the other hand, where there's breath, there's hope.

This is an open forum. Anyone can reply here. And I could say the same thing about some Christians... I see a lot more Christians going to the point of trying to convert people thru persuasion, manipulation and sometimes in very threatening ways... all of which appear to be very narrow-minded. So why are those Christians (among others) wasting their time? Because one verses shows Jesus telling his apostles and ONLY his apostles to go out and spread the news?

What a great way to show the love of Jesus to the world, and the Christ within you.. what a fantastic witness you are for Him! I bet He is smiling down upon you right now and saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
I'm sure HE would have told those who came to him that they were wasting his time, and would call them names, etc.. oh wait, that's right. He only spoke with Jews. He called Gentiles dogs.. he wanted nothing to do with them.
Lol what a crock this is.. if you don't like an open forum where EVERYONE can participate, perhaps it's time to actually stop hiding from behind a keyboard and get out into the real world with your "witness". I guarantee you would never speak to people in real life like this. You have to be a coward and insult them through the internet. Pathetic.

Funny. Half of the questions here are directed towards atheists. Sorry for answering those questions, it won't happen again.

You also do realize most of the atheists in this section were, at a point in their lives, persuaded to leave Christianity, right?

It happens a lot actually.

Edit: I was never a Christian, sweety. Born and raised atheist, no religion has ever provided me with any proof of their 'truth'. However, many atheists have been Christians for over 20 years. You saying they weren't "real Christians" is quite insulting. That's like telling a married couple that gets a divorce after 20 years that they never really loved eachother.

But whatever. Insults are usually a sign of fear. It's okay, really. We understand your fear.

Yeah look in that mirror again. Don't you christians know you aren't going to persuade other people with your narrow minded beliefs and that you are wasting my time?

No I'm not an atheist. Yes I'm a spiritual person who has been harrassed by christians but never atheists.

EDIT:

Oh and please re-read the last paragraph of my answer again. I said the Atheist have never harrassed me.

Narrow beliefs? How exactly do you define them.

The only thing we have in common as Atheists, is that we do not believe in supernatural/paranormal beings or events.

Apart from that we are very different individuals with differing views on just about everything. I think that coming from someone who gets all their world knowledge from a bronze age collection of myths and fairy tales is pretty ridiculous.

This is a public forum so everybody has the right to throw in their two cents. Frankly you look narrow minded to atheists. it works both ways, dear. If you only want to communicate with Christians go to a Christian-only web site.

well, I am not an atheist, but I do feel that religious people are constantly trying to push their beliefs off on everyone, all the time and they can be more than a little obnoxious about it. Just turn on the TV on any Sunday morning and the stations are overrun by overbearing televangelists!!!

This atheist feels that it's important to prevent false statements from going unchallenged. So, when I see questions or answers that say that atheists don't have morals, don't know the meaning of love, or are endangering society in some way, I feel it's important to take a stand. Whether anyone asked me for my two cents or not.

This is a Q&A forum, so that's what people do, throw in their two cents. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they don't have the right to answer. FYI, Christians (Thiests also) do it to Athiests and Agnostics; what comes around, goes around, I guess.
