We may have a 12 month old baby with us as we are in the process of fostering. (We booked our holiday before we started this process)

Our worry is that some of the trips may be too much for him. Some of the coach trips (excursions) to the Pyramids etc are very long journeys and we are not sure if its the best place to take him? I am not worried about the rest of the holiday as I can keep him shaded on the ship etc... its just that we would like to go on the trips but not sure if a 12 month old could handle the journey and heat?

Has anyone ever taken a baby/small child on a cruise and how did you find it?

Many thanks in advance

I have been on many cruises and have seen small babies on some. They are generally not a problem at all on ships. But I have never seen a baby on any of the tours away from the ships.

I suggest that you find a baby sitter to care for the child while you are gone and then enjoy your trip and not put the baby through a bad experience. To say nothing of the displeasure you will cause others if you bring a crying , fretting baby along on a bus trip-excursion.
