I went out for sushi last night and ate around 9pm. At midnight I felt some cramping but then it went away (or didn't hurt too much).

I woke up at 3:30 am feeling terrible, my stomach hurt so much, I couldn't use my stomach muscles to get up, and I couldn't feel a comfortable in any position-Finally I took a PeptoBismol and fell asleep even though the pain never went away.

Now I've been up since 6:30, and my stomach is still very sore/cramped. I'm blaming it on the sushi because thats the only thing I can think of. I took another Pepto but what else can I do?

I have a hair appointment at 10:30, an interview at 1, and I have to pack because I'm leaving for Vancouver tomorrow...

What do you think this is and how can I make it better?

It does sound like a mild case of food poisoning, or else something just didn't agree with you. The only thing to really do is just be gentle on yourself. Drink some gingerale, eat a few saltines, keep your appointments (if you can,) but rest whenever you get a chance. Good luck!

Well you might have swallowed an Anisakis worm which could have been hidden in the sushi. This worm begins as an egg which hatches into larvae and then is consumed by a crustacean, which is eaten by fish and then eaten by mammals. When a human eats this worm, it becomes attached to the inner wall of the stomach or intestine. This worm then lays more eggs in the host human and those eggs are passed through feces to begin the cycle all over again. Anisakis usually causes great pain and sickness and can only be removed through extraction by a doctor. Check out the video link below.

definite! the only element is that the rice will now no longer be the yummy texture from final night. it is going to dry out as time progresses. I asked the sushi chef approximately take domicile stuff and this replaced into his answer. He stated to take domicile sashimi to evade the rice undertaking.

well, you obviously have food poisoning. i wouldn't do anything or go anywhere, you could become seriously ill.there is nothing you can really do, you just have to let it play out. But if you start vomiting every 10 minuets or so, go to the hospital, you may need your stomach pumped.
