i wish i knew that answer... it does get old... FAST.
it's funny how they always attack us when all we want is an honest opinion... not a hateful response because they don't like the same things we do.
they need to grow up. it's SO CHILDISH to be rude on here. and it's funny how they think that we'll actually take their uneducated answers to heart and do what they say! OH TATTOOS ARE PERMANENT!?! JEESH good thing this person came along... wow i could have made a BIG mistake... yeah you're right when i get old I WILL BE WORRIED about how my tat looks instead of my medications and how i am going to afford retirement... PLEASE PPL. get over it. and if it see one more person telling someone their gonna go to hell for having a tat i'm gonna puke. my God taught me to love all His children. some are just more colorful. these ppl are preaching hate. they must be following someone else...
we don't invade their singles and dating, and acne questions so why be so nasty to us? maybe one day they'll grow up... HA who am I kidding... they'll always be childish and take their anger out on someone else if not tats.
i agree with you totally... i wish they would get more creative... or at least educate themselves before typing. it just makes laugh at them and their ignorance.

It's not that I hate tattoos. I just don't want people to make the same mistake I did.
I have two tattoos, both of which I got at 18. The first one I got I'd wanted since I was 15 and it means a lot to me: the Chinese symbol for "independence" on the small of my back (I did my research before getting it. It really DOES mean independence!). The second one I got was the mistake: a Playboy Bunny with the left ear flopped over and my name under it in pretty cursive. It's absolutely adorable... but it's on my left shoulder blade. When I got it, I was too caught up in the fact that I was 18 and legal. It meant nothing to me, besides the fact that it's my own design. I only got it because it was cute. Now, I can't wear certain shirts to work because my tattoo will show, it shows basically throughout all the summer months as I live in Georgia and it's practically a law around here to wear tank, tube, and halter tops during summer, and for some reason the fact that just about every wedding dress worth wearing is strapless never crossed my mind.
I'm not against tattoos as long as they mean something to the individual. When I see someone saying they want to get a little fairy or something like that just because they think it would be cute, I advise against it or suggest they put it somewhere on their body that can it can be hidden if it's inappropriate.

It bothered me at first as well, but they are only answering questions off of the home page. Yes, it is incredibly annoying when they give opinion/"advice" and have no knowledge regarding the question being asked. Some just can't help themselves I suppose. I don't even look at the questions on the home page. If it's not in a category I'm interested in I don't bother. Unfortunately, not everyone follows that theory. Just ignore them as they only make themselves look foolish.

Because people have different opinions on body modification, and some people are just ignorant or assholes, and they seem to have nothing better to do with their time than bash other people for their ideas and beliefs.
Trust me, I have 3 tattoos, and more to come, and I knew when I was getting them that they are permanent, and they will probably be wrinkly some day, and blah blah blah and everything else people say that is negative about it.
Some people just can't respect that everyone is entitled to do what they want with their body, because they are not open-minded.

Everything in life can potentially become a mistake. If the worst someone in life does is get a tattoo then I think that's a lot better than the way people fcuk up their lifes.
No one can tell anyone not to do what they want to do. In going for a tattoo just in case go for any color except black. They're all easier to remove if later in life you decide you do not want it. And remember not to place it somewhere ignorant. ie butt, boobs, vagina/genitals, because almost for sure you will end up regretting it. Also to be extra sure I would never get anyones name placed on my body at a young age. Maybe even never. You're not guaranteed to stay with that person. Nothing is guaranteed in life but death and taxes.
I have a tattoo and I love it to death. It represents my character and the things I've accomplished so far. I'm don't encourage anyone not to get a tattoo. I just encourage them to carefully pick the place that they want it so that one day it doesn't become something that someone regrets. <3

I think they do it as a way to try to conform us inked people to their ways. People fear what they do not understand, and since they do not understand why we get tattoos, they feel the need to talk about them negatively.
What they don't understand is that those of us who got tattoos for the right reason don't care what they have to say, and nothing they do/say will get us to conform to their 'superior' way of thinking. And I am very happy to disappoint them!
And as far as how my tattoos will look when I am 80... who cares? I think I am going to be more focused on.. BREATHING, than how my tattoos look.

They do it in other catergories too, but it seems to be most prevalent here, but if you want to see some uneducated, egotistical, fanatic people respond, check out religion and spirituality. Im sure they just do it, simply because they dont have anything else to do but annoy people anonymously, sad isnt it. Pathetic isnt it, thats some people have nothing better, or more constructive, to do than try to cram their negative opinions down other peoples throats.
