IF is a mighty big word! Do you normally pay your bills on time? Are you addicted to gambling or is this a once in a while thing? Will you have the money to pay your mortgage on time if you do spend it now? If you can still come up with the money to pay it before it is late (if you lose) then go for it! If you win all the better! But if you are going to pay late fees its costing you a lot more in the end and its not worth the fun. You should always pay the bills then play but if you are responsible and this is just a spontaneous urge that is rare! and you are still going to pay your bills! and not make a habit of this then have fun! But don't do it if you if think you might get addicted to it or want to try this again! Once is ok but not always! Good Luck, I hope you win! Better Luck that you are not addicted and can do this!!

How about you spend 1 euro and "pretend" it was you mortgage.
In the film "Lucky Number Slevin" a married man borrows from a loan shark. Presented with the fact and warning that the money belonged to people "you don't want to owe money to"
He apparently lost and he had a tip of a sure thing (juiced horse). What did he lose? His wife, his son and of course the last few hours of his existence before succumbing to tape and a plastic bag.
Maybe that's how you should perceive this itch and the end result if you go through with it. Remember your home is an extension of happiness. So if you think you're unhappy now...homeless status sure sucks.

It is getting on shaky ground once reserved for Greyhound Racing -- and it's a trifecta / believing that "alternative" gaming is a cure-all to the financial woes at the track, a growing outcry on what happens to the bulk of equine athletes after the finish line (and during their often painful careers) and paying for an arrogance that fans will always come crawling back - no matter what.

Horse-Racing is the defenition of bad gambling. You'd be better playing poker with the money if you have to gamble. At least with poker you've got a chance and with skill can win more than you loose.
Personally, I wouldn't risk my mortgage on a horse, or poker. It's important, too important for you to risk it like that.
Well, the bookies will be happy to take your money off you I expect. You know people make a living out of dopes like you don't you? It's like drug-dealing, only legal.

Only gamble it if you don't want to pay the mortgage and possibly putting you behind which could lead you losing your home. Possibly after losing you may want to return to re-coop your winnings and lose again thus getting further behind.
