Vaseline is actually bad for your lips, it will atract the sun and they end up drying up even more.... Chapstick or anything on a stick like that is just wax and will not penetrate the skin and moisturize. The best thing for this is two things 1. stay hydrated more than normal, drink ALOT of water. One of the reasons for chapped and dry lips is lack of water in your body. 2. Get a product called Carmex. It is the best thing for healing dry and chapped lips. The first few days of using it, you may have to put it on 4-5 times during the day and less as the time goes on.
Good Luck!!!

*try this AT nighttime* What I propose could to is to get each and all of the ineffective peeling epidermis away out of your lips. Take an old toothbrush and brush your lips with it. After that placed Vaseline throughout your lips. basically confirm you cake it on. *try this in the MORNING* in the morning wash your face at take a wash towel and upward thrust your lips with heat water. After that placed on a some Blistex chap stick. try this for some days and your lips could desire to bypass returned to general and experience very delicate.

It may not be the product that isn't helping--it may be what you're eating. Make sure you're drinking enough water. If you tend to drink a lot of sodas, coffees and things of that nature, you might just be really dehydrated and not know it. Also, make sure you're not eating a lot of salt/sodium.....its also very dehydrating. Just make sure your diet is well-balanced. If you mix that with using vaseline and lip balm, you should see improvement. Otherwise you may want to see a doctor/dermatologist.....you may have a condition causing this.

chapstick from BurtsBees brand... it works really good it is at drugs stores and some grocery stores even.. its always at walgreens. Another thing that works for EVERYBODY is that there is a MaryKay lip mask that is like a face mask for your lips and when you take it off they are smoothe and they look better too. Ask around... find a marykay beauty consultant. the lip mask is like 5 or 10 dollars maybe my mom is a consaultant.

Use some stuff called carmex. You can get it at gas stations and drugstores for about a dollar. Slather it on at night and you'll wake up with really soft smooth lips. It always works for me even if my lips are cracked and flacky. Good Luck!

If you have tried all those things and NONE of them have made a difference, then there is only 1 solution left. DRINK WATER! and lots of it. one of the main reasons people have dry lips is because they're slightly dehydrated. Dehydration can also lead to dry skin, so take care of it while you can.

Before you go to bed smother your lips with Vaseline. I've seen it work on the worst dry lips I've ever seen [my sister gets it]. Keep doing it and you will see improvement. If it's really that bad you should see a doctor, it may be related to a malnutrition problem or something.
