I googled it but all i could find out was the program aired on Nighline on may 5th and it was to prove or deny each side without the bible, I never found out what the banana had to do with it.

Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron were on the same side of this.. they tried to show that God designed the banana to be the perfect food for people to eat. Unfortunately, neither did their homework to understand that human beings manipulated the wild banana to become the banana we eat today. It's sad, really.

That was a separate discussion, and it wasn't a debate between the two. Both were trying to show how bananas are "designed" to be easily eaten by people. It looks like a spoof, because of how ridiculous it is, but I think they were actually trying to be serious.
