I went on a date last nite with a guy (not sure if you read my previous messages) and he was real bad. Didnt pay for us on our first date - I had to, was all over me etc. He just text me saying "so do I get to take you out again", I really don't want to go out with him again. How do I let him down gently? x

Tell him that you are sorry, but you already have a couple of dates lined up this week and don't have the time...if you hear from him again, just tell him that things have really worked out with someone you went on a date with and you would feel uncomfortable communicating with him again. That is letting him down easy...but to be honest, he was a real scumbag and doesn't deserve any kind of response, other than a curt, "No. I am not interested. Please don't contact me again."

P.S. Based on your history, you seem to have a real issue judging men at first glance. I know you have intuition...we all do...our brains are hard-wired with a fight or flight program. Listen to what it is telling you...if you have even the slightest doubt about someone...walk away. You seem to be pretty and approachable, stop acting like the next guy is the last man on earth and listen to your heart...there are great guys out there, but none of them fail to pay and feel you up like you're an escort...have a little faith in yourself and it wouldn't hurt to stop giving out your number until AFTER you have a successful date...Lots of Luck...Kes

Naah, I don't think you should lie to him. Be a real woman and tell him, "I enjoy an old fashioned gentleman who picks up the check at the end of dinner. I like to see that a guy takes me seriously and is willing to pamper me a little." Say this in a very friendly way. If he asks further tell him you'd love to be friends and you are no longer interested romantically. If he doesn't respect that, he doesn't respect you!

good luck mama!
