Good thing you don't want to join the USAF, because you would have to learn to spell.

My husband is a marine and he thinks army are a bunch of wuss's. Marine basic is 3 months long than you go to your MOS school which can be another 3 months to a year all depends on the job. Army basic is 9 weeks then you go to your school for the job you get or picked. Deployments army has the longest which can be 12 months or longer marines deployments to iraq at the most on avg is 9 months. As for benefits pretty much the same. It is harder to pick up rank in the marines they make you earn it. When i was younger i visited an army recruiter and he told me that their ranks are pretty much velcro and can get taken away right away. Marines do get the least amount of money from the govt so dont expect the best food and living conditions. If thats what your looking for than go with army. Army gets spoiled big time they get all these foods out in iraq like pizza hut and what not while the marines dont get jack. its up to you hope you make the right choice for yourself

Son you can only join the military of the country that you are a citizen or a legal resident . If you are in the US both branches are good but I am a big fan of the Marines.

what country are youa citizen or Legal permanent resident of? THAT limits your choices as to which country's service you can join.

as for Army Vice Marines: do some research on both and decide which is a better fit for YOU.

I myself would go with the Army - there is a wider range of MOS (job types) available. I would join the forces of the country you live in. You will have the most in common with your peers. As far as best I would favor the US or UK myself.
