I worked in a sex shop here in the bay area! I loved it. It was a woman owned shop and it paid very well. When other retail paid $8/hr it paid $15/hr. As to wardrobe, I would dress smartly but not to "buttoned down."

As for questions:
1. Does the shop do community service workshops on safer sex practices? Does the shop offer any other workshops to the community?

2. Will there be time each day for me to work on product knowledge so that I can help our customers make intelligent choices about the products they purchase from us?

3. What is the stores commitment to providing a safe environment for women to shop in?

4. Does the shop sponsor any community events, such as "gay pride" parades?

5. What is the process for advancement within the company?

6. What is the process for selecting new merchandise for the store?

Those questions should get you rolling.

'not really clear if you are the intrviewer or the interviewee.

You should ask questions about the topic.

Is the story about the sex shop itself? some local current events issue? public concern? new products? what?!

You aren't giving us much information.

dont go. get a real job where you will be respected as an actual human being with ideas and thoughts and emotions and a mind, and not just a sex object.
