Drinking a lot of water is good., but you can drink too much. It will actually get rid of bloat. If you drink nothing but water you will likely lose weight. A little juice or skim milk can be good too, for the vitamins and calcium, but watch for added sugar.

It is good to drink water in quantities of around 2 litres a day (not proven, but widely considered the right amount) and more if you exercise, eat sweet food, drink alcohol and consume any other diaretic products. These dehydrate you and require the water to be replaced. The trick is not to drink it all in one go but spread it out through the day evenly and in small quantities. Too much water and you can flush your body of the nutrients that it really needs. If you plan on just drinking water and nothing else then there is every chance that you will starve the body of the nutrients it needs. You may think eating less will help you to lose weight but not always and especially not in the long term. Your body will break down your muscles to get the nutrients it needs and this is where the problems start as it reduces your metabolic rate. If you're dieting this is one thing you don't want to reduce. Your body will also go into a starvation mode which will mean that it will store fat from anything you eat to help give you energy when you're not eating.
Basically you can lose weight a lot faster by giving your body what it needs and not eating all the bad foods.
Before you decide to do something so drastic please have a read in to it first, because I promise you that diets and extreme forms of them are not the best way to lose weight quickly.
I hope this helps you and points you into the right direction of how to do it safely and right. Good luck!

It is recommended by doctors, nutritionists, diet specialists, etc. that you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day (or 2 quarts). You should do this whether you are on a diet or not! More will not hurt you, but there is no need to drink more than 3 quarts unless you live in a very hot climate like the MIddle East.

Just drinking water is NOT, however a good way to diet and could be harmful to your body. Please go on a sensible diet, eating 5 small meals a day with some protein and carbohydrates at each meal. Eat low-fat or non-fat yoghurt, deli meats like smoked turkey or chicken breast (which are very low in calories and fat), and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. You will lose weight this way and you have a better chance of keeping it off if you develop good eating habits.

You should drink about 2 litres of fluid a day, cofee and alcohol are not a good way of getting this, but tea is ok. I find that water doesn't quench my thirst very well, and prefer weak squash, diet cola, or watered down fruit juice. Fizzy drinks will make you bloat, so don't drink too many. Eat sensibly- speak to your gp about how many calories you should be taking each day. Good luck, stay healthy.

You want to drink water and no other fluids that's what you mean right? Or do you mean you only want o drink water and that's all...I hope you are not planning on going on an all-water diet (that's very unhealthy!) Drinking enough water will make you want to pee more often as it flushes toxins out of your system. It will not make you look bloated as your body will keep flushing excess water out. Remember, you know you have drank enough water when you pee is absolutely colorless..

Recommended intake for normal person is 2-4 litres per day, depending on exertion and weather conditions. Drinking too much is not advisable. You can't survive on water alone. Consult a qualified dietician for advice on a suitable, balanced diet that can help you lose weight. You need also to exercise to do that, and for that you need food.

I drink at least 1 litre of water a day along with a healthy diet and lots of exercising. However, sometimes i just feel fed up with water so instead of using soft drinks or coffees i mix a little bit of lime with cold perrier water and is just amazing. You should try it..

Well not drinking a lot of water is bad for you and dehydrates you. At first you bloat but if you stick with it you look better.

drinking only water as your fluid intake is a good decision, drinking it as your only intake is a bad one (slight ambiguity here)

You cutting out sugary/caffine drinks will help you feel more lively and so probably make you move about more and loose weight that way

but yes beware of hyperhyrdation, the worst bit it is it has the same symptoms as dehydration so stick to no more than the recommneded amount, don't be drinking a litre an hour!!
