How does the USA's new immigration (amnesty) policy keep those who are criminals from getting into the country?

I have read that there will be background checks, but what if someone has not been charged for a crime in the US and they are not in our "system"? Are we basically giving the nod to criminals?

And keep in mind I am not saying that ALL of those included in this group ARE criminals or involved in criminal activity...nor have I mentioned the "M" word...

Does it seem possible to do a back ground check on 12 million people?

It isn't possible to do a proper background check on any of them.If they come forward to get the "temporary" permit allowing them to become legal, they have 24 hrs to do the background check. It is impossible to find out what we need to know about these people in that short amount of time.
That means that all those here that have committed crimes have a very good chance to get through the background check without us ever knowing their past. And really,if that many come forward all at once, they wouldn't be able to keep up with all the paperwork and more than likely,no background check will even be done.
We must stop this bill,we will be making thousands of criminals legal to work and live in our country.

Immigration and border agents are asking that the background checks be given longer period of time to do, as it isn't like a magic overnight answer. It takes time to do and go through. And they should be given that time.

In my state they have sent federal immigration agents who will now start going through criminal arrest records of everyone since our local state police cannot ask them of their status without it being called PROFILING. They'll be searching through the most violent cases first. If they are here illegally, they will be on their way to the deportation locations for detainment. If they are violent illegals - they'll be deported asap.

It's the same as when they border jump now. There is no control
on the criminals coming in and some innocent person will be a victim.

You are correct sir. We should just ship all the ms13 and the bloods and all the other ganster idiots on to a island so they can have their pathetic gangs wars by themselves. And it is impossible to do back round checks on 12 million ILLEGAL aliens. SAY NO TO AMNESTY!

It is a joke because how many are going to come forward and pay the fine and then go home? They ignored the laws on the books now and will ignore this one.
