Taken Literally, the story of Noah's Ark makes no sense. Why destroy everyone but one family, when it would seem to be easier just to wipe out the world and start over?
As for why, one possible explanation is the existence of the nephilim, mentioned just before the story of Noah, in Genesis 6:1-7.
But that changes the story from what most people know.

There is a whole lot more to what is commonly known as the bible, than people realize. It was actually copied from ancient Sumerian texts, and altered and condensed in certain ways. The ancient Sumerian texts were already massively ancient in the time of Sumeria, but had been copied and recopied and passed on from generation to generation for unfathomable ages. There is so much we don't know about the ancient world....even though there were massive amounts of documentation and records at one time. Most of these documents were destroyed by evil men who decided that if they destroyed all the records they could find, of the ancient world and the truths they knew...these evil men would be able to rewrite history their own way, and therefore control the masses and what they believed about the ancient world and the knowledge of the ancient people.

God, in Genesis 6:5 “saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” In verse 11, it says: “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.”
So God asked Noah, “a just man and perfect in his generations, and” who walked with God.” (Genesis 6:9), to build an ark for He will destroy these evil people with the earth (verse 13).” Noah warned the people of the impending flood that is why he was building an ark. But people just laughed at him. Noah took a hundred years to build the ark. Such a long time, isn’t it? If anyone would like to repent, he could have done so.
When the door of the ark was shut and the flood came, all the people outside the ark perished even though they knocked and knocked on the ark seeking the help of Noah to open the door for them and save them. The vessel used was an ark to save Noah and his family.
Today, this is happening again. God has given us warnings through prophecies and yet people do not heed them and they are even becoming more evil. It is taking years before the prophecies are fulfilled, and people are seeing them happened, but cannot attribute them to God. They are relying on science. But scientists are baffled as well as these mysteries unfold before them.
God is giving us time to repent and come back to Him. God is reducing people in this world now. It will be so sorry for those who will die with unrepented sins and did not accept God because it is only while alive that one can repent. It is not “Better late than never” but it is “If you are late, you are late. Period. Full stop.” So while there is still time, repent and come back to God, our first love.
There is another kind of vessel that will be sent to save the elect, the good people in this world, but I will tell you more about that vessel later. So be good now so that hopefully, you will be one among those who will be saved.

The world had apparently become a very wicked place at that time. More so than today even, although with all the crap that goes on nowdays, that's somewhat hard to believe sometimes.......
Mankind had turned it's collective back on God and was so far removed from it's Creator, that He singled out one good, decent man and his family, plus some animals who had no knowledge of right and wrong, and saved them.
The way I see it, He must have had good reason to do what He did. Similar to Sodom and Gomorrah. Things would have to get pretty bad for God to wipe everyone out and start over.
Check out 2 Peter - next time it won't be a flood, it will be by fire, so we aren't out of the woods ourselves....

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. God search the earth for righteous men but Noah was the only one he found. That is why God had Noah build the ark. Noah and his family was spared because they were righteous and served the Lord. The Lord wants us to serve him and follow his word. If not there will be punishment. After Noah God promised not to flood the earth again. Until Jesus came and was crucified the Jewish people offered burnt offerings to atone for their sins. Jesus is the Lamb of God. He is the sacrifice for our sins.

Assuming Genesis is 100% Words of God, why did God flood the world?
Assuming the sky is green, why is the sky green?
Besides, according to Genesis, God never flooded the whole world. The Hebrew word translated "earth" is equally well translated "land". God flooded the land, not the world. The author of Genesis had no comprehension of the Earth's size, and would have assumed a flat earth.
There is no evidence whatsoever of a global flood.

God was sorry that he had made mankind, because the earth had become filled with violence and wickness, so he decided to wipe them all out (with the exception of Noah and his family) and make a freesh start. Even God gets frustrated and angry on occasion, according to the Bible. It says he will again someday wipe out most of mankind, by fire, some time in trhe future. Some believe this will occur at the second coming of Christ.
Some believe that God is a race of aliens that have been experimenting with the human race for eons, for their own inscrutable ends. This could be indicated by the number of UFO like encounters that the Bible describes.

Okay I don't know where you got this information but it is bogus. I don't know what version of the Bible you are using but I in all the versions I've seen I have never seen the word "Interracial" in that passage of scripture. And God flooded the earth because the world was corrupt not because of interracial marriage.

The people there showed no repentance for what they were doing. For us to be forgiven for our sins, we first have to show true repentance. Acts 17:30 "True, God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent." 2 Peter 3:9 "Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance."
Think about Jonah. God gave him a commandment to go and preach in Nineveh. Jonah 1:2 "'Get up, go to Nineveh the great city, and proclaim against her that their badness has come before me.'" But instead he did the exact opposite of what he was told. Jonah 1:3 "And Jonah proceeded to get up and run away to Tarshish from before Jehovah; and he finally come down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid its fare and went down into it, in order to go to Tarshish from before Jehovah."
What happened to him? He was punished. Jonah 1:17 "Now Jehovah appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah so that Jonah came to bein the inwward parts of the fish three days and three nights."
That's when Jonah began to cry out to God Jonah 2:1-9. God heard his prayer and "commanded the fish, so that it vomited out Jonah onto the dry land."
We learn that God gave everybody a chance to repent. Matthew 24:39 shows us that "they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away." They didn't care, they didn't want to. They continued being violent (Genesis 6:13).

Go back to the Bible. Start at the beginning of Genesis and read it in its entirety. You have some but not all facts. It's important that you must do your own homework. Before you read the Bible you should pray for God's holy spirit to be upon you while you read so that you will come to accurate knowledge when you read. If you truly want to understand and come to accurate knowledge Jehovah God will know; if not, he will NOT hear your prayers. "He is far away from the wicked one", but does hear the prayers of the righteous.
Get back to Genesis and read it in its entirety. Do not stop until you are done. This is the only way for you to attain accurate knowledge. Also, go to http://www.watchtower.org and type in "The Flood". You will get accurate knowledge there. (Bible-----New World Translation; Watchtower.org)
