Interval training. Go for short bursts of intense physical activity to total exhaustion. Cool down, and do it again. Endurance training leads to larger fat stores where interval training quickly converts fat to sugar and burns it off.

exercising at a high level of intensity for 60-80 minutes will cause the greatest increase in the resting metabolic rate for hours after exercise. this would be at a level that is >70% of the VO2Max

remember that each workout you want to perform more "work" in the same amount of time as the previous training session. this can be as little as adding 1 more rep or 1 lb or running an additional 1/10 of a mile during cardio, etc.

I have been jogging 6 days a week, 7 miles each time and have dropped only 7 pounds but have toned and lost inches to about 2 dress sizes(Starting my third week today).

Not a fast jog, a slow jog can be done with great above success. Tones the whole body but is also hard on the body plus you will need a good 8 hours of sleep and don't forget your sun screen !

Best of luck !

Oh, don't forget your iPod

If you really want to try something that is not only good for you, but you will enjoy eating the food you should read the following. About 6 months ago a friend of mine turned me on to this diet. When I first heard the name of it, I thought she was crazy. The diet is called The Asian Noodle Diet. I gave it a shot and lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks and the food was really good. The website http://www.asiannoodlediet.com has all the info as well as a diet plan and receips. I recommend you try this before anything else.

3X 30min sessions of cardio each morning before breakfast. Eat 500 less calories than you burn. Weight train for 3-5 days per week for 45-60min. Heavy weights, 8-12 reps.

a combination of strength training, cardio and a calorie deficit is the best way to burn bodyfat.

Don't forget to do the weight-training!!

Good luck.

cardio is the only fat burning exercise - it burns fat all over body- do it 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min) and combine it with light weight training to not lose any muscle (cardio burns fat AND muscle) and tone it up.
