i.e. That the Truth is One, but the labels many?

Could it be therefore that conflict, conquest & strife are based therefore on fundamental misunderstanding?

Shouldn't we all, then, just love one another? :-)

Yes there are many names of God.
But it is not exactly labels. if i speak to a judge formally i say 'your honor' but at home he's Fred. at the store, he's Mr. johnson. To his wife he's pooky etc. Different names for different relationships, for the amount of intimacy and for his different pastimes. In the same way God is a title for The Supreme Being. He has many names for His many forms and many qualities. All are wonderful.
Yes it is a sad misunderstanding that causes alot of hate and strife and conquest.
and as for loving one another, the best person to love is God. By loving God, we automatically love all others. It is just like watering a tree. Are you going to go around watering all the individual leaves of the tree? Will it even do you any good? If you water the root of the tree (i.e. God) then automatically all the leaves and bark etc is nourished. Love is the answer!!

Yes we all should be kind to each other and love each other.

I was thinking last night perhaps Abraham, Jesus, Buddha and Muhhamed, perhaps their messages are from the same source, because what I have learned so far about each of these religeons that the basic message, love each other be kind to each other etc are the same. But because they were in different cultures and times then their messages got taken on board as different religieons instead of adding to one religion with one 'god'. Perhaps all religions actually worship the same god but under a different name. Perhaps the various religious texts all have the same message but relayed in different ways and also perhaps the culture of the parts of the world at the time was crossed over into their messages.

Anyways yes yes yes, everyone love one another, or at least tollerate each other and stop killing each other and screwing each other over and all try and get along.

What religions live up to this?

Everybody on this planet drink water. It is the same water. But all around the glob, in different languages, it has different labels. Similarly, there is only one energy which permeates the universe. The same energy is there within you, within me and within everybody. That is God. We put a lot of labels on that energy and create conflicts.

Conflict and hatred are not our nature. If they are, we have to be in conflict and hatred, 24 hours, 365 days a year. But we are not. Love is our nature. We are made up of love. We are nothing but the god's own energy. God is nothing but love. And our nature is love. God is within us, not outside, somewhere on the sky.

Many labels came into being because, God itself loves diversity. There is only one wheat, but we make different type of food with that. Why cant we eat wheat just like that? Nature loves diversity. So are the human beings. So to personify God easily, we created so many names and lables. That's all with the labels.

Love and Regards

Almost every culture has invented fables about creators and preternatural entities. It's a great pity that now in the 21st century, when it can all clearly be seen as the primitive codswallop that it is, so many people are still playing the 'my imaginary friend is better than your imaginary friend' game. Religion truly is the root of all evil!
