not true

I do business in Russia and asked why they insist on drinking so much. I was told by a Russian it was to get people to speak their true minds. It is a very old idea and in ancient Rome it appeared in Latin as In Vino Veritas (In wine, truth )
I think it is true for most people. OTOH some people fall asleep. It is of course easier to tell the truth all the time as then you do not have to remember which person you told which particular lie to.

Depends what mood you're in i mean when some people are drunk they say they can fly and when they try to fly they find themselves waking up in a hospital ward but as i said it dependes on the mood you're in and an example for truth saying i love you but usually you wouldn't remember saying that.

All drink does is lower your inhibitions. Some people might speak home truths when drunk that they would keep back when sober, while others would give free rein to their imaginations and tell all kinds of lies!
Drinking doesn't make you smart, handsome, witty, rich, funny, or attractive--it just makes you drunk.

people are less inhibited when drunk so they do speak and act more freely
depends on what was said and how as to how true it is
if your friend was cross with you they may feel more likely to tell you so in an unharnessed way so that you would feel the impact of the pain
doesnt neccesarily mean they meant what they said but that they were cross

It is
When drunk ,natural feelings come through the brain and it is more relaxed, therefore telling how they feel.
I was drunk,a girl took me home,i told her i loved her (which i did),and never got drunk again because i felt i had said something to offend her as i had known her only 1 month and1/2
I was too shy at the time to tell her how i felt, and as i recovered next morning, she said to me "do you know what you said to me last night"?No not much i replied"You loved me you said, and i was a bit embarrassed when she told me that, being a bit shy as my usual self.
I went red and we have been good friends ever since ,and we are now engaged.
So yes i think we do let our guard down more when drunk, and are more relaxed to our feelings.
I hope this answers your question.

They say when you are drunk, the truth does fly from your mouth. You judgment is the first thing that is impaired, so your brain doesn't have time to process what you are saying. Half the time they don't remember what they have said.

Not true though it is true to say that we were get drunk we can become obnoxious. This is somewhat different than telling the truth.
