Because they have to suppress any voice telling the Truth, which is that Christianity is just a political movement with borrowed beliefs, borrowed rituals, borrowed customs and a borrowed god.

Everyone in the different worlds have different religions. Me being Christian (Catholic) I don't deny it although there are some flaws compared to others but still tolerance must prevail. Let them practice their traditional religion. Even though ancient worshiping (stone carved God)doesn't appeal to you, just leave them alone & get on with your own beliefs.

Because their faith is THAT strong. If you would believe with all your mind and heart in a awesome all-powerful God who teaches you and requires of you to worship him only, would you accept any other Gods?? You just wouldn't be a christian if you accepted and believed in other deities! Besides the existence of all these other 'gods' can't be proven anyways. But the biblical God can be proven(prophecy, archeology...) and has left us a way of life that really works! =]

There must be only one God..

1) if there were more than one God, then the universe would be in disorder because of multiple creators and authorities, but it isn't in disorder; therefore, there is only one God.

2) since God is a completely perfect being, then there cannot be a second God, for they would have to differ in some way, and to differ from complete perfection is to be less than perfect and not be God.

3) Since God is infinite in His existence, then He cannot have parts (for parts cannot be added to reach infinity). If God’s existence is not just a part of Him (which it is for all things which can have existence or not), then He must have infinite existence. Therefore, there cannot be two infinite beings, for one would have to differ from the other, and to differ from infinite existence is to not exist at all.

I do not feel outraged when someone denies my God or I don't care if people have other gods.
Don't you know that.. whatever occupies your mind is your god?

My only concern is how to please Him, so that when the time comes, May God have mercy on me.

those gods are "the sons of God" (Genesis 6)

We Christians do not worship them and we never feel outraged when someone denies the existence of our (you and I and everybody) God, the One who will feel outraged is God Himself

I don't deny the existence of thousands of demons. I just would not elevate them to the status of the ONE TRUE GOD.
