I am a Christian and I can say that organized religion is, in general, rubbish. Jesus gave us a perfect model of the church but we, as humans, are so prone to arrogance and pride that we take bits of the bible that we want and leave out the rest or, even worse, add to it.

The result is an endless amount of sects and churches that all beleive in Christ but think that the other is going to hell for playing piano in chuch for example.

All organized religion is what you call rubbish.
Most organized religions have their extras and are not reading the whole word of God, but taking scripture and deciding what the want it to mean.
The Pentecostals and their Benny Hinn ways, such as talking in tongues and baptism in the Holy Spirit which is not biblical, and telling people that you can lose your salvation once saved is one example.
The catholics are another with all their idol worship and too many extras, praying to the dead and believing that you can pray people out of purgatory which does not exist. Not biblical.
And there are many others that would take too long to mention.
This is the reason I left the catholic religion (renounced it) and became a born again, Bible believing Christian. I don't belong to an organized religion, and it is not required.

Some of it might be, but not all is, and I wouldn't even say most is.

Since I am disagreeing with your premise I won't be providing examples to support it.

Organized religion has occasionally been captured by political or business motives and that has resulted in some of the religions being turned into something the founders never intended it to be.

However Jesus intended that his followers would meet and worship together and would unite to teach others. Most organized religions chose to allow followers to organize to better teach converts.

I think to be valid there must be some organization to religion.

All religion is rubbish. Nothing has ever been proven and nothing ever will be concerning a God of whatever religion. It`s nature that creates things and destroys them, and that includes human nature, a lot of it being through stupid religious beliefs. When I die I will go to sleep for good and that will be the end. No afterlife or ascent to the pearly gates, just nothing the way it was before I was born.

I don't believe so. It's not the religion that's the problem, it's the people who follow it, or the lack there of. Most people claim to be Christian, Muslim, etc. but the do not follow the religion 100%. And that is why most bad stereotypes are made.

no religion is rubbish nor does its teachings .. according to me the most organized reigion is islam... its the most scientifically correct nd the most modernised.if a person follows al its rules strictly it helps him o evolve as a much better person.but 4 the mistakes of few people the whole community is blamed nd direspected by others.so in short i ant to say that a reigion should be organized in order to make is followers a much beter nd socialized person in society. so its not rubbish, its just ur way of thinking or ur point of veiw.

Organised religion?

With God, it's all spontaneous, He moves in mysterious ways and you never know what He might do next!

Our God is an awesome God

Organised religions do give comfort to people - I have many friends who find it so useful. It does not make it true or that it would comfort me.
