I use ProActiv and I am a believer!! This is the best stuff I have used on my face! I don't have a major acne problem, but like you I get 2-3 pimples every now and then, especially on my chin...Proactiv keeps them from coming back. If u try it, and I do reccomend it for the pimples, and it starts to dry u out use less of the repairing lotion (small white bottle) and/ or try using it maybe once a day instead of am and pm. I have combination skin. I usually get dry patches on my nose and cheeks and my chin is usually pretty oily (probably because I rest my chin on my hand alot) so i use the oil free spf lotion which u need to use anyway, because sun exposure with that stuff isn't good. One time I forgot to put spf on and right after I only applied the 3-step system, I went outside; it was really sunny outside and my face got rather red and hot. But anyway if u use it correctly and adjust it too ur needs it should keep the pimples away. As for the red marks, if those don't look like your regular pimples, U might need to see a dermatologist; it could be a number of things, besides pimples. And if its exzema or roseacia (I know I spelled that wrong) Proactiv probably won't help. But if your pretty sure its a form of acne I would at least try proactiv.

Proactiv worked for me. I didn't think it would because I am a person of color, but it does. Now it did cause my skin to dry out really bad, but all I did was start using a different moisturizer the problem was solved. I tried it off and on when it first came out. I wasn't satisfied with how long it took to clear my skin up, but as I became older, I became more patient and let it do it's thing and now my skin is clear. They have a product especially for marks on your face. You should really try it out. Although I do agree with the others when they say that it doesn't work for everyone.

Proactiv works for some people and doesn't for others. When I used it, I found that it dried my skin out a lot and burned a little because I have sensitive skin. Try patch-testing before you dive into a routine with it and it'll save you a lot of grief in the long run. I'd suggest perhaps trying different, milder products first and seeing which ones work best for you. Also, a good skin care regime is imperative to having nice, healthy skin, and spot-treating is only temporary. ;]

Ive been using proactive for 5 months and it started bleaching my face.
I would just go to a dermatologist for something less mild.

Good luck =]
