Most people say they read it for fun, but don't believe it. I'm sure it happens when we don't agree with what's written, lol. Are you one of those?

If you do believe in it, what do you base your belief on? (I don't think I've ever met someone who TRULY believes it. If you do, please speak up!)

Astrology (of ALL kinds) is nonsense. My source gives a good analysis.

To think that the positions and movement of these incredible celestial bodies has any effect on an individual person is incredibly arrogant and self-important.

From my source:

"My friend and master skeptic James Randi performs a wonderful demo of how easily people are fooled by astrology. He went into a classroom, posing as an astrologer, and cast horoscopes for all the students. He had them read and rate the accuracy, and they almost overwhelmingly rated the horoscopes as accurate. The kicker? He had them pass around the horoscopes, and the students saw that every horoscope was exactly the same. It was worded vaguely enough that nearly everyone in the room thought they were being well-described. The horoscopes were so vague they matched nearly everyone, and so their predictive power was meaningless. It was all in the students' heads."

Also:

"Many tests of astrologers have been made since the 1950s but only recently has a coherent review been possible. A large-scale test of persons born less than five minutes apart found no hint of the similarities predicted by astrology. Meta-analysis of more than forty controlled studies suggests that astrologers are unable to perform significantly better than chance even on the more basic tasks such as predicting extraversion [sociability]. More specifically, astrologers who claim to use psychic ability perform no better than those who do not."

Birth Chart!!! The sun sign is the most important sign in the birthchart. Daily Horoscopes focus only on the sun sign and aren't always accurate.... they're only (occassionally) accurate for thos who has their sun as the ruling planet in their chart!! For example, my Rising sign is Leo, so the ruling planet of my chart is my SUN sign which rules LEO. The reason why western astrologers chose the sun sign being the most popular in Western astrology horoscopes is because the sun is the only star in our solar system that is still. All other planets revolve around the sun, and for this reason the Suns' energies are effected by other planets' positions. For example: say one day astrologers see a conjunction of SATURN to the SUN. So, a daily horoscope for Virgo might say "work will be tedious today, but keep a steady, slow pace and focus on whats important blah blah blah"... Since Virgo is in analogy with work horoscopes will talk about work!! I'm virgo, but I'm a stay at home mom, get it.... Daily horoscopes are Bull, but birthcharts are 110% accurate always! ****About Cancer Men: If you have a real, loving relationship with a Cancer man he will surely remember you all of his life. My grandfather was a Cancer and he was married to my grandmother for over 60 years. When he died 3 years ago, we found an old cigar case of womens photos in a photo wallet. They were pics of all of his girlfriends from when he was in the Army during the 40's!!!! My ex fiance is Cancer, and years after we broke up he still calls me and tells me he loves me even though he's engaged.

A girlfriend once gifted me with a 9 page detailed horoscope reading as a birthday present. Other than possibly being accurate in stating my sign, the placement of the sun, the moon, and the planets on the day and hour and minute of my birth, the rest was pure poop.

I guess it could be read for its comedic entertainment value, but what is scary is the people who might actually govern their lives and their decisions by what their horoscope says.

The horoscopes you read in newspapers and magazines are purely for entertainment and cannot apply to each person bearing that astrological sign. To get a true reading, the date and time and place of birth must be known.

I believe astrology has some significance and that the symbology in Revelations (12 tribes of Israel, 12 gates, 12 angels, 12 foundations, 12 disciples) refers to the 12 basic patterns of the human personality as revealed in the Zodiac.

I don't see how it could be real. People have been doing horoscopes for thousands of years without ever even knowing what was out there. Half the planets in the solar system were discovered in the last 200 years; how could anyone do an accurate reading under those circumstances? It's all just rubbish.

Those ones you find in the newspaper are rubbish. They fit anyone. A decent horoscope takes 30 minutes to do and accounts for all objects, not just Your Sun's placement.

I'm a Sag, but if I read a newspaper Virgo, it'll fit.

I don't even read them, but I think that people who do read them, well there is a part of them that sort of kind of does believe. It's seems to be human nature. The question is "why?"

Reading horoscopes is witchcraft. Playing with Ouija boards is witchcraft. Psychic readings is witchcraft. Water witching is witchcraft. There is so much witchcraft going on today that we must be aware of these things and stay away from them. Witchcraft and the effects of witchcraft is not being taught in the pulpit and the people of God are being destroyed and deceived by them.

There's nothing to believe or not believe; it's not real- it's written by people and are broad generalizations that are mostly true for everyone.
