You don't need another job, you need to concentrate on gettng through school!

If you are a FULL-TIME student, you will qualify for all sorts of governmental assitance like Medicaid, Food Stamps, housing, child care, gas money, etc.

Start at the local community college and get enrollment information. Then, after you have a plan with school, apply for government assistance. You can also take out student loans to help pay the additional bills while you are in school.

Get through school and then you won't have to worry about "working your way to the top" with crappy jobs.

You will be fine...just don't sell yourself short by thinking that you can't accomplish much.

I am a full-time student and single mother of two. I am now in law school and haven't worked while I have been in school.

You can do it, too...you just have to be resourceful...and where ever you go, ALWAYS ask "Are there any more programs that I will qualify for?" because unless you ask, some things might not be told to you.

You will be AMAZED at how many resources there are to help SINGLE PARENTS complete school.

Good Luck to you!

You are ideally suited to be "Health-aid" You take care of people who are very ill at their home, or are disabled and you help them eat, drink, take bath, take them out shopping or for stroll, etc. etc. You can get paid about $10.00 or more per hour and they dont need office work history. You have experience as single mom, you know the routine to take care of people and are good a it. If you are legal resident and have ID you register with one of these Health Agencies. You can also work in different types of HomeHelp areas, maybe as babysitter Nanny or Housekeeper working 9-5 cooking cleaning taking care of 2 or 3 kids while the parents are working you take care of the house and the children and cook for the family prepare evening dinner. You get free meals and salary. Now while you are working to pay your bills and care for your own family, you can study to be Nurse and fulfill your long time Dream, there are some scholarships available where you dont have to pay for your tuition, it is paid for you. You have to apply and explain your situation and you will find someone out there who is willing to reach out and extend a helping hand. Hard working people do get rewards but you have to go after it

Try a temp agency. They can keep you going until you get a job, and often the people who hire you as a temp will like you and offer you a job. There are also temp agencies that specialize in health care. You should also read, "What Color is Your Parachute" which is an excellent book on getting a job, and it will help you a lot.
