The sad thing is...the Qu'ran like the Book of Mormon, were written after the Bible, in an effort to improve the religions because what their authors saw was based on imperfect versions of what God wanted for us. The Roman Catholic Church corrupted Christianity 300+ years after Christ, and it was all downhill from there. The Bible is the only book that has withstood the tests of history. Things people said were a myth have been discovered under the sands...like the city of Ur in Iraq. I wonder what Ishmael called Yahweh...the name Allah was not used for God until Muhammad's time. Before that, it was the name of a powerful jinn leader or king.

The Quran has not changed since the time of Muhammad (pbuh)
after his death 1 Quran was written and kept in the house of one of his wives
later when the Muslims leaders noticed that Muslims in different areas were praying and quoting wrongly from the Quran they decided to copy the original Quran and send it to the six major areas.
Of these six copies 2 still exist
one is in Turkey and the other is in Russia
Yes any Quran today can be checked by these two books and they would be exactly the same

First of all, there are restrictions on possessing or reading the Koran. Has anyone observed this?
One who is not a muslim, is not allowed to touch the Koran.
One who is impure, meaning someone who has not performed ablution, is not allowed to touch the koran and that goes for anyone who has farted.
A woman who is in her periods is not allowed to touch the koran.
A man or woman who have had sex and not washed after are not allowed to touch the koran.
So you and I who are not muslims are not allowed to touch the koran or do research on it.
That is how restrictive islam is.

first, we are not afraid....
second, koran is a Holy Book from Allah(swt)...is not to be subjected to check-ups. as well as it is prophet's Muhammad miracle from Allah...and it's miracle lies in that nobody however his power or intelligence is can never change Koran, Allah preserve and protect Koran from any changes...
Haven't you ever thought how can you people change God's holy words to such simple human words? what a sin you are committing ?....That's why you have many contradictions in your books, and i won't say Bible, because true Bible and Jesus are innocent from these changes you are doing to that Holy Book.

Because they know that mistakes would be discovered and they don't want any changes to take place. The Rosetta Stone was once examined by scientists who determined that it is a common Meteor. Thousands of years ago when people had limited knowledge, they didn't know any better and said that it was sent by God from the heavens bringing a special message.. The Islamic leaders know that it's a meteor but they don't want any changes made.
