It is a bit presumptuous to think God needs or wants us to defend Him. Established religions do tend to exalt their belief system over another when questioned, but it is not "stupid" per say, that implies an insult which they may feel they 'must' defend against.
You didn't ask me about my religion, I wouldn't have said anything, as you used that 's' word. Oh, is that a boast? Forgive me.

I don't know about other religions, but I am a Christian. I've seen really terrible "Christians" and the problem with them is that they are the "Pharisees" of our time. They persecute others of living the wrong way and saying that others should live like them. They have PRIDE and are ignorant, they become too self-obsessed and forget about God. It isn't that the religions are stupid, but more of the way people act
