No, I was not impartial at all -- I HATED Catholicism! I set out to definitively prove it false once and for all, so I began studying it intently. To my absolute shock and horror, I became convinced that Catholicism was indeed the One True Faith.

I studied religions, and was a Catholic for many years. I finally chose nothing. I am now agnostic, but I believe that a higher power/powers created the universe. I came to my belief because I don't buy any of the doctrines fabficated by men. God wrote no books, and spoke to nobody. Religious people are all being scammed.

Yes I was. I was raised quite impartial.
I chose my religion because I felt it was the one that fit me the best and would do the most good for me.

Yes, the experiences in my life brought me to it. It's like a puzzle that was already there, i just had to find the right pieces and eventually try to put them together. I still respect and even like some other religions, but I like the path I'm on and choose to follow it. Though I always keep an open mind, you can learn from anyone and anything.

I wouldn't say I was impartial. I believed in God and I believed that Jesus died on a cross for my sins. That is absolutely all I knew. Someone took me to a good bible teaching church and I sat and listened for about a year, then I got into bible study. I didn't realize that it was Jesus who had made the claim He was the only way to the Father until I saw that in the bible.
I've been in bible study now for ten years, and it's changed my life. No one told me what to believe; I came to believe the bible is the word of God through my own studies, and the experience of all I have read in my own life.

I'm not sure anyone is or can be impartial before making such a choice bc/ the choice itself should be an examined one in which case - you would be partial to the things you had examined. Anways, I feel as though I was chosen for my religion before it was chosen by me.

Before i chose to follow the pagan path, that which is right for me, i was very biased against any form of organized religion. Especially Christianity......perhaps it could be the people i was surrounded by in my youth...i dont know...
Now i know that my spiritual path works for me and i strive for love and tolerance.
It is hard sometimes to be so accepting...especially with all of the apathy and ignorance in present day times.
Bless them all
Blessed Be!

I Chose Paganism because it most lined up with what I believed and I felt a very strong pull to follow this path. I'm so very happy I did.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that relatively few people consciously choose a religion. They're born into it.
