In the US, if you are 18 to 25 and a male, you could be drafted.
Your vision issues and ARD might keep you stateside, but who knows.

IF there is a draft, and you are a male aged 18-26, you are "vulnerable" to the current draft law. Under the present MSSA, there is no presidential authority to induct, and congress would need to pass a law to re-strart the draft. You would be drafted, most likely in the year you turn 20, REGARDLESS OF YOUR PHYSICAL STATUS. The draft is done by the Selective Service System, which IS NOT PART OF DOD. Once you go through the SSS process (the draft notice, and any requests for deferment or exemption), THEN you go to a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) which is part of the military, and THERE you would see a doctor, and IF you were physically unfit for service, you would be re-classified as 4-F (unfit for service) and sent home. The vision issue is irrelevant. The GERD might be an issue, but perhaps not.
As others have said, the likelihood of a draft is so low, you really should spend your time worrying about other things. Once you are past age 21, you are almost never going to get drafted anyway (current law takes ALL 20 year olds in any year group before any others, so once you make it to 21, you are looking good).

The serious truth... You can be drafted if they ever did put it into effect. Anymore your vision isn't that big of a deal. Especially if it can be fixed by lazer eye surgery. As for the ARD, it would all depend on how bad it was, and even then if wouldn't keep you out because even if you couldn't be deployed they always need people to hold down the forts back here on the home front.

There won't be a draft. Don't worry. No politician has the sack to call for one...none with presidential aspirations that is. Your vision wouldn't prevent anything. ARD, I really don't know about that. But if it's controllable with meds or such, you are going.
To get out? You have to be rich, and it helps if your daddy's in politics. Only the poor working joes get stuck fighting America's wars. The rich sit up in their mansions drinking their bloody mary's.

Just because Rangel has a bill does not mean it will pass, this is not the 1st time he wrote this bill.
In 2004 his bill went before the House and all Republicans present voted Nay, so did most Democrats, in fact only 2 Democrats voted Aye (in fact only 2 members of the House voted Aye on this bill).
However Rangel was not one of the Aye votes, he actually voted Nay on his own bill.
What a waste of time Congressman Rangel.
And I know the bill will fail this time too, I guarantee it because plenty of Congressmen on both sides do not want the draft at all.

Your breathing, well then you are capable of fighting and supporting the defense of your country against all enemies. I would not lose sleep or worry about a draft. It would take an a federal act of Congress for that to happen. And as you see on TV, the Congress can not agree on anything, so don't hold your breathe on that issue.

Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) has a bill on the floor to reinstate the military draft (see his link below) so you may find out sooner than you planned.
The draft requirements shouldn't be much different than the medical requirements to enlist in the military. Go to the Army's website and look up the medical requirements.

Dude, don't worry there isn't a draft and there isn't likely to be one in the near future, so just relax. But if there was a draft neither one of those conditions would keep you out of it.
