My mom is white and my dad is black. Why do white guys think that it's kinda wierd that I like them? I'm black too, but I've never had a crush on a black guy, face it white guys are hott too! So how many white guys out there would date a black girl, and for the right reasons?

I'm not the "ghetto" type of black girl. Actually, when I pretend to act Gangsta, all my friends tell me to stop, cuz it's just not me. Honestly, I act more like a white girl. And yes, people do understand me when I talk.

I think some of the white guys you say think it's kind of weird that you like them is because most of them have this misconception that ALL black girls are loud and ghetto. Unfortunately that's just the common stereotype. Also some might be a little intemediated by the thought of black girls being ghetto. I am black nice looking young educated and definitely far from ghetto. Just because a women has a back bone speaks her mind at the appropriate time that doesn't automatically make her ghetto or obnoxious. There's nothing wrong with you just maybe you're looking in the wrong places for white guys because believe me there's a lot out there interested in a black girl or (mixed girl) i've been there.
Good Luck!!

Living in Utah as I do, I see maybe 5 black people a week, including kids at school, and that's if I'm lucky. I'm not very sure if I'd want to date a black girl, but that's because they all have that ghetto attitude that I hate so much.

If a black girl acts white and she has all the other qualities I'm looking for, then yes, I'd definitely date her!

I would date a black girl, or a girl of any race really, as long as she was what I was looking for otherwise (eg, has the right personality and decent looks, not fat, nonsmoker, etc). I don't know what kind of guys you're after, but I think it's more unusual that they would turn you down.

Oh yeah, what Allen said about the voice, that's true. A lot of black women have this annoying, loud, overpowering kind of voice. I don't like that. Maybe it's their personality, because I don't think it's natural to speak that way. Good night!

lilnae2g: It's not a misconception . . . it's a personality trait we can all detect from a long way off. Quite a lot of black women are like that . . . loud and ghetto-esque.

If your mother is white and your father is black, wouldn't that make you a mulatto? That is, you wouldn't be considered 'black'.

I wouldn't mind dating a mulatto if she had good looks and a good personality. I would like for her to be culturally 'white'. But those are the same qualities that all of us look for in girls.

However, if she had another one of those horrendous 'ghetto' personalities and spoke in a hideous ebonics-accent, I wouldn't want to date her. I don't like those types of people.
