Parents, how would you react if a 22 year old guy took your 15 year old daughter on a date?

Personally I'd have you put in JAIL. YOU ARE AN ADULT though you may not act like one physically you are one and a 15 year old girl is just that A GIRL!
What the hell is the matter with you? she could be your baby sister. You have nothing in common with a 15 yr old and as others have said you are steps away from a sex offender. Find yourself a WOMAN. That means a girl your age. Someone who has matured to your level.

As a parent the one thing that would be on the forefront of my mind would be what kind of 21 year old guy dates a 15 year old girl and why? the few reasons I can think of are sick ones. You need counseling if this is a serious problem for you. I'd put up no tress passing signs yell you a warning then shoot. That is quite mild compared to what my dad would of done if it were one of his daughters....I don't you would of made it home or to the hospital with all your parts!

I am 21 and couldn't think of any reason to date someone that young. My Bf is 30. A little more mature or equally is always better than you taking advantage of a young girl and although you may be immature it is still ILLEGAL and with good reason.

Well, I would not even consider letting my daughter go on a car date until she is at least 16 years old. And, a 22 year old going out with a 15 year old is out of the question. If, you were a gentleman, you would wait a few years and let her mature and not be jail bait. Seriously, how much do you have in common with a 15 year old? First thing first, check the laws of your state. It is illegal in many states for a 22 year old to date or have sexual relations with a 15 year old. I would not allow my daughter of that age to date someone your age. You also need to ask yourself what your intentions are dating a child that age. Find out why women your age don't appeal to you. I am pretty sure her parents have the questions to ask you and they should demand answers. After all, she is not at a age where she should be able to handle such a mature relationship. Remember you are an adult and she is a child.

Yikes... this is a completely imbalanced relationship. Consummated would be statutory rape in the state in which I live. The mom might not have fully thought out the maturity issue. The man likely has much more experience and different expectations. The girl likely can't help but be flattered by being seen as a "woman," and may make poor choices to keep that feeling going. I'm sure you'll find these specifics along with others offered here helpful when you approach mom. Your instinctual "ick" reaction is real. but you'll need to be prepared to get past mom's denial. Mom won't be able to end the relationship, but she can absolutely stop the man from staying over on weekend. can I say yikes again!?

I was 16 when I started dating a 22 year old. I guess my parents trusted me because they didn't freak out or call the police or anything like that. Regardless of what people think, you can go out on dates without having sex. Keep that in mind because they could have you arrested otherwise. I went on to marry that "older" guy and we have been married for over 18 years.

Unless you want to get charged with statutory rape, I'd back completely away from the relationship. Even if no sexual contact AT ALL happens between the two of you, having to explain the relationship to police, child welfare, and the District Attorney could be a bigger pain in the butt than you're willing to take on.

I'm with a previous poster.. what could you possibly have in common with a 15 year old? What, are you going to take her to her prom in 2 years... when you're 24??? Get real... find someone your own age to date. They're much more interesting.

However in the LDS church plural marriages were not only mandatory to a select few, there were marriages of 14 year old girls, but almost everyone testified it was ALL righteous.
it is likewise testified by many scholars that Mary the mother of Jesus was not older than 16 and some say as young as 13.
