1.) blow drying doesnt usually help unless you have really thin hair so i don't really suggest it
2.) Cost of straightner: $20 straighteners are NOT GOING TO WORK! they will probably burn your hair and if your hair is really frizzy your going to have to buy a good straightener. i'm sure if you spend some money (at least $50) you'll be happy with its quality!
3.) straightening process: i have frizzy hair myself. what i do is i shower at night then i wait for it to dry. then i divide my hair into parts. i first straighten the lower half because it will make your hair more calm and straight. it will give you that sleek look because your hair wont have that messy look. then the next morning, just briefly straighten the bottom half again then do the top half. the top half it what people can actually see so it's good to do it in the morning! but the bottom half is the trick; if the bottom half is calm, your hair will look sleek and straight
4.) hair products: SILK THERAPY. just google it up and there are going to be different sizes. I LOVE this product so much. I use it right after i straighten my hair and it locks the moisture in and makes my hair look naturally straight but still keeps the straightness. it also revitalizes your hair. its pretty expensive but totally worth it! if your not so sure, just try the smallest size which i think is around $8 and if you like it you get can the biggest size (for the best deal) which i think is about $25-$30.
also,
experiment with different techniques!
just google "hair straightening techniques" and i'm sure a bunch of good ideas will come up.
good luck!

Don't blow dry it. That's HORRIBLE for us people with frizzy hair. Brush your hair before you wash it and never do it at any other time. After you wash your hair, put in some sort of de-frizzing product and wait for it to dry naturally. ALSO if you want to have straight hair. Get a flattening iron. just DON'T blow dry it. Frizzy hair usually means dry hair and heat is the worst thing for dry hair.
Another trick to try is every three times you wash your hair, instead of using shampoo, simply wet your hair and condition it. Your hair will love you.

Most silicone-based anti-frizz products contain water or alcohol which reduce the effectiveness of the products. The companies that make them do that to reduce the cost (silicone is expensive) and make the products more profitable.
Try a pure silicone like Simply Stylin'. It doesn't have those fillers, so it's much more effective - and you don't have to use as much. It coats the hair and protects it from humidity and heat. Plus it adds great shine and softness to your hair. www.simplystylinhair.com.

to get rid of frizz you should, depending on your hair type, get a product for frizz. Also look out for shampoo's and conditioners that have anti-frizzines written on the front. That usually helps A LOT but it does NOT get all of the frizz out so you should use anti-frizz shampoo, conditioner, and for after the shower a creme and that should help a bunch!!

This is a pricey solution, but have you tried getting your hair permanently (chemically) straightened? I been getting the Chi done every year since the treatment was invented, and it was by far the best decision I ever made. It leaves your hair straight, smooth, and frizz-free!

Use a deep conditioner or cholesterol, put on a conditioning cap and sit under a hairdryer for 20 minutes. Or if you don't have a hair dryer, rap a towel around the conditioning cap for 20 minutes. Try using Jojoba oil to moisturize your hair.

I have the same problem .. heres what i do.. After i wash my hair.. i put in oil moisturizer..(its in a pink bottle sold at walmart)..and when my hair is dry.. i straighten it.. and then after i straighten it i put a dab of baby oil just on the ends.. and only a tiny bit.. or else it will weigh down your hair and make your hair look greasy.. !! But it works for me.. So try it .. and my hair is really frizzy..
