As a dentist (DMD) I highly recommend you only taking the dose that your doctor has prescribed. This is an extremely powerful narcotic that can make you very ill if you take more than the prescribed dose. It may take some time for this to fully get into your system to get pain relief, but your best bet is to not exceed the doseage set by your dentist, we always put these doses on a prescription for a reason. Try using a cold compress in addition to your medication, the cold will help numb the gums and should help with pain relief. Good luck and hang in there, using your prescribed dose of pain medication and a cold compress will help with pain.

The reason your DDS said one, is because the chances of you getting sick from taking more then one are greater if you take more then the prescribed dosage. Taking two will not make the pain less painful it will only give you an upset stomach too.

Your writing suggests you are not resting. You are supposed to rest more of the day so you can heal. By wandering around the house, doing things, you are increasing the heart pumping pressure on your pained area.

That is why it hurts like it does.

REST a while and your heart will too. Then the pain wont be so bad.

Stop playing with that idea that more pills solves problems. More pills only makes addicts.

just in case u are not kidding plz try these ■Rub your baby's gums. Use a clean finger, moistened gauze pad or damp washcloth to massage your baby's gums. The pressure can ease your baby's discomfort. ■Offer a teething ring. Try one made of firm rubber. The liquid-filled variety may break under the pressure of your baby's chewing. If a bottle seems to do the trick, fill it with water. Prolonged contact with sugar from formula, milk or juice may cause tooth decay. ■Keep it cool. A cold washcloth or chilled teething ring can be soothing. Don't give your baby a frozen teething ring, however. Contact with extreme cold may hurt, doing your baby more harm than good. If your baby's eating solid foods, offer cold items such as applesauce or yogurt. ■Dry the drool. Excessive drooling is part of the teething process. To prevent skin irritation, keep a clean cloth handy to dry your baby's chin. You might also make sure your baby sleeps on an absorbent sheet. ■Try an over-the-counter remedy. If your baby is especially cranky, acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) may help. Don't give your baby products that contain aspirin, however, and be cautious about teething medications that can be rubbed directly on a baby's gums. The medication may be washed away by your baby's saliva before it has the chance to do any good — and too much of the medication may numb your baby's throat, which may interfere with his or her normal gag reflex.

try just one first... percocet are strong, and can have some pretty strong side effects. If one doesn't help in an hour, take another... be very careful 10 mg is a big dose. Don't drive while on it, you will likely feel jacked up and very capable, but your judgement will be impared if this is the first time you've taken it.

How much do you weigh, how old are you, how many have you taken already today? These are all questions we need before we can answer that question. Just remember that they have Tylenol in them and the daily limit on Tylenol is 2000 mg any more than that and you can blow your liver. You really don't want that to happen.

Read the bottle, first off. I had them prescribed to me for wisdom teeth pulling. I could take up to 4 a day and they were 500mg each. I'm sure you'll be fine if you take 2.

You can always start with one and see how you are after 1/2 hour. If it is still bothering you, take the second one.
