You can find secret shopper ads in your local papers and on line. Be careful so that you only go with a legitimate business. It's not a well paying job but if you are a frequent shopped you might find a way to enjoy yourself and make a little cash. Restaurants also look for people to test out their food and servers. This is a lot more fun if you ask me.

Yes, but the pay is not enough to consider it full time. Check out these two sites;
www.experienceexchange.com
Service Intelligence - you can earn $80 to $100 a month here shopping Staples, Popeyes Chicken and a few others.
www.mysteryshops.com/
Corporate Research International - you can earn $120 per month or more. I actually earned $250 in one day but it was special assignments, certainly not the norm. Shops include Exxon, Valero, Cenex, Cici's Pizza, Barnes and Noble, Sears, K-Mart, Foot Locker and many more.
Good Luck!

The Federal Trade Commission has a great article on secret shopping.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/aler...
In the article it refers you to a website (www.mysteryshop.org) that will give a list of reputable mystery shopping companies. You can sign up with the companies and be notified when potential shops come up.
I was a mystery shopper. It was fun. Good luck!

There is, but working for a large retailer, not the ones you find on the Internet - those are scams.

Think about it...being paid to shop? What they're doing, it's called advertising (especially when you have to pay a lot of them to sign up).
