I want to lose some weight. Mostly in the Butt, Thighs, and Stomach. I would really like to become little smaller so then I can fit into my old clothes. Probably the reason I am gaining weight is because the cookies I eat. So instead of cookies I go to get gum. But it doesn't work. Then I though of say EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY I'M GETTING RID OF JUNK FOOD. It's not working, and I'm not really fat or really skinny. Can anyone help me with this stupied problem? Oh and I would like to lose about 20 pounds or even a bit more. Thanks.

You're on the right track, eat less, eat better quality food, and move more. Stay healthy - and cut out sodas and the such!

As a personal advice, instead of eating the classic three meals, try to eat little portions of food, especially fruits [or vegetables], every 30 mins - 1 hour.
Also, try joining some sports team or play more outside.
Finally, get really busy to stay away from thinking about food. It really helped me to have so much stress about homework and my social life. The worst thing one can do is to stay at home and watch TV or use the computer all the time.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
