I assume you are talking about losing the weight naturally???
There really isn't a "healthy" way to take off a lot of weight in a short time. It is usually NOT recommended.
The problem with trying a quick loss is that when you drastically cut your calories your body freaks out and thinks it is starving. Then you don't lose anything because your metabolism slows.
A low carb diet usually results in a huge loss in the first couple weeks. (like Atkins or South Beach)
I have had the best success with Weight Watchers. Low-carb diets make me all cranky.

If you need to loose a few inches to get into a special dress or attend a class reunion the best thing to do is take water pills the day before. Also a colon cleansing is helpfull. You would be surprised how much excess water you carry and how backed up your bowels could be.
There is no quick-fire weight loss plan that will make you slender over night. Believe me, I even had a stomach bypass surgery and I still struggle with my weight everyday.
If I dont exercise everyday I keep weight on.
Everyone's body is different. Find something to work for you, but be willing to make major changes in your diet and activity levels. Sounds like you are like me, and loosing weight is going to be a life long struggle.
Changing what you eat and being more active will help a ton.
I know how hard it is. If you go off one day dont beat yourself up, just start again the next day.
Good Luck !

Unfortunately, there is no fast way to loose allot of weight in short period of time, even if u starve yourself. from experience The only thing that worked for me was eating right (moderation is the key)and working out. You might want to try programs like weight watchers. like i said the weight did not come on over night so don't expect it to melt off. Don't get tricked into buying those diet pills, I used them and after a while they loose their effectiveness and you gain back all the weight and then some. Its a life change you need to reconsider and once you have a plan stick to it. Best of Luck...and be healthy.

I know that weight has a lot to do with genetics. There are a few things you can do to reduce your weight but you really have to work at it. Fad diets do not work. Reduce calorie intake to about 2000 a day. Then get into a good exercise program. If you want to loose more than 50lbs it will take time. You should loose about 2 - 4 lbs a month, and remember muscle weights more than fat cells do. Try for 2lbs a month.

Eat 6 small to medium meals a day
Exercise every day or every other day, for 20 to 30 minutes. Even speedwalking on a treadmill is enough!
What any diet requires is commitment. But I think you can lose weight without going on a "diet". What you need to do is just try to change your whole lifestyle- by eating smaller meals more often and getting exercise. Also try to incorporate 8 glasses of water a day and 5 fruits & veggies. It's important not just to quickly lose weight, but to keep it off permanently by changing your lifestyle.

starvation and determination. This isn't all to healthy, but one time I went on a jello diet. Regular jello, not the crappy diet. Made it pain and ate it instead of meals, I know, not healthy, but I lost SO much. I need to do it again because I know it works!
leave out all meat too. Take vitamins of drink slim fast shakes too, so your not losing vitamins. Works great with the jello diet.

two words "liquid diet" a friend of mine got on one,who had been heavyset for a long time, and he lost like 20lbs in under two weeks. IT WORKS. but its risky. and a pain to get off of. u should go into it with a doctor not just alone at home surviving on liquids for weeks at a time. be careful

Methamphetamines! Of course your skin, hair and teeth will all get really ugly, but you'll be skinny!
Or you could be sensible and follow the advice of the person who said change your eating habits and lifestyle...
