a guy at work who has an excellent job is very cheap to say the least. He wont go to a sporting event because he says the tickets, parking and food are too expensive but he buddies up to people who can get him free tickets, free parking and free food and he is generally the first person ready to go on game day he cant get there fast enough. He says theres nothing wrong with this and the people i know have absolutely no clue what he's up to and he's done it for a long time. Should i tell the people he's taking advantage of or should i just keep quiet????

the best thing to do is to keep quiet , you do not want to cause problems[your heart may be in the right place]. the others he takes advantage of will some day see how he is . always remember; a fool and his money will go thier separate ways.

Maybe he has personal matters at home that limit his finances, but still wants to take part in activities with co workers and friends and feels bad for mentioning his money trouble.

Either way, there is nothing wrong with being tight.

Dont even say anything or else you'll be as nosy as the guy is cheap. Just leave it because most people already know it they just don't say anything cuz its not important or they don't want to be judgemental.

Just keep quiet.... The people have probably realized it, and have decided it isn't a problem. It isn't hurting you, so you might as well stay out of it.

People like your co-worker will eventually trip up over their own ego and arrogance. I have no doubt his behaviour and attitude will be discovered as what goes around comes around and he will be bitten hard!

if they arent smart enough to figure out that he's taking advantage of them for such things then they dont deserve to be told...and perhaps some of them just dont care anyway...mind your own business...

As long as your not the one he's freeloading off of, let the others put up with him.
