I purchased a British version of "Loaded" magazine in 2004 that had this really cool ad for the British Royal Marines. The slogan was, "99.5% need not apply!" and the picture showed this guy doing push-ups while puking during a rain storm. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this ad on the Internet?

As the Royal Marine Commandos were surrounded and out numbered by Members of the Iranian Republican Guard, common sense dictates, as well as their "Standing Orders", you don't go exchanging firepower when out-numbered and out-gunned, (that looks great in the movies but this was real life.)

Also they were under the jurisdiction of the United Nations, and not part of the same force which is involved in IRAQ and currently the UN is not at war with Iran.

Part of the captured group were Royal Navy including a married woman with a young child.
They did the right thing.

But the poster of the comment, above, is to stupid to realize you don't go out in a blaze of glory in real life because it would achieve nothing.

Weren't the 15 troops that surrendered to the Iranian Navy without a fight a few months ago Royal Marines?

Anyone could do that...perhaps they need to say 'only 0.5% need not apply' -- the 0.5% that knows how to fight.
